Crane pads performance
The crane pads is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. The extremely high molecular weight of UHMWPE gives it excellent performance. It is also a moderately priced and excellent thermoplastic engineering plastic. It has almost the advantages of various plastics and has ordinary polyethylene. Incomparable with other engineering plastics in comprehensive properties such as wear resistance, impact resistance, self-lubrication, corrosion resistance, impact energy absorption, low temperature resistance, hygiene and non-toxicity, non-adhesion, non-absorption of water, and low density. In fact, there is no single polymer material that has so many excellent properties.

1.Abrasion resistance of uhmwpe crane pads
The wear resistance of UHMWPE support pad ranks first among plastics and surpasses some metals. Compared with other materials, the wear resistance of UHMWPE is only 1/5 of PA66 and 1/10 of PVC; compared with metal, it is 1/7 of carbon steel and 1/27 of brass. Such a high abrasion resistance makes it difficult to test the degree of abrasion resistance by ordinary plastic abrasion test methods, so a mortar abrasion test device is specially designed. UHMWPE wear resistance is directly proportional to molecular weight. The higher the molecular weight, the better the wear resistance.

- Impact resistance of uhmwpe crane pads
The impact strength of UHMWPE is among the best in all engineering plastics. Compared with other engineering plastics, the impact strength of UHMWPE is about 2 times that of impact-resistant PC, 5 times that of ABS, and more than 10 times that of POM and PBTP. The impact resistance is so high that it is usually difficult for the impact force to break it. It also maintains excellent impact strength in liquid nitrogen (-195 ° C), a feature that is not found in other plastics. In addition, it has higher surface hardness in repeated impacts.
